CV joint, wheel bearing or diff?

I'm getting an intermittant clicking and rumbling noise from the back end of the Griff.
It only happens "under power" (ie not when coasting or on over-run.) It can only be heard at low speeds, but then that's not surprising, given it's a Griff :D
My 1st thought is a CV joint because of the clicking. But this doesn't explain the bearing like rumbling.
The diff was replaced at 70k miles. The car is now on 94k miles, so I'd expect a bit more out of the diff than that...
The car was serviced by Dave Batty a couple of months ago, so whatever it was has suddenly occured in the last couple of days/weeks.
Ideas? And where's a good place to source the parts when I figure out what's up?

I've just noticed a similar sound starting over the last few days from back of my 94 Chim (66k). Heard it at low speed in bends/roundabouts etc so I hope it's only CV joint (I'm no expert).
Slightly strange thing is that I couldn't replicate it going in slow circles in car park, but I was only a mile from home then and car was cold - might it need car to do a good few miles and heat everything up before if re-appears?
I'd appreciate anyone's ideas?

A constant clicking suggests the CV joint .. My S had the same and i took the shafts off, greased teh CVs, put the shafts ontop the other side of the car they came from and never heard abnother noise 
a creak when setting off is usually the diff though, I think it's as the preload reduces on the pinion crushable spacer .. bernie at competition transmission systems will be able to advise on that.

Well, it decided not to make either noise tonight. 
Oh well... I guess I get another day's peace from big bills.
My neighbour has a theory. Ony one of our TVRs ever seems to be working at any one time. Coincidence? Or do they plot and scheme at night in the estate car park?
His has just been fettled at Austec - so ours must be sulking because it's not living the high life.

Thanks for advice trackcar. Mine is a constant clicking and I'd hoped it was CV. I've only had the car a few months so I'm going to get a full 12,000 service done soon just in case - so that's something else to get sorted at the same time. I assume it's relatively inexpensive? (The CV I mean, not the service)
