Having had to replace the cooling fan on my 2.8 S, I have taken the opportunity of getting a nice new 3 core radiator. I can mount the fan straight onto the radiator and do away with the GRP housing that mounted the old fan or I can mount the new fan on the old cowl as the original was .....Any comments? Option 1 will seem to give me more air flow... option 2 will allow the fan to pull air through the entire radiator area not just the area of the fan. Can I learn from anyones experience on this.
Thanks guys

Don't know if it will make an appreciable difference but a 'ducted' fan is much more efficient than one operating without a cowling. Also, you'd be surprised how many cars I've seen with aftermarket fans designed to 'push' fitted on the back of rads instead of the front and vice versa with 'puller' fans!
