Cats going ballistic last night, this was behind the lounge curtain!!!

I had a really big grass snake living by my pond. I thought, ah, that's nice.

Then I read up on them...they like to swim & eat fish! I also read they are harmless so I decided to pick it up & take it to the woods. It reared up like a serpent, made a vile smell & frightened me immensely!

...and when I say big, about 5 feet? (I didn't measure it, but it was a biggun )

A friend of mine was hit on the head by an adder once - a buzzard had caught it and managed to drop it. It made for a very interesting incident report at work!

Grass snake was being attacked by a Magpie. Slow worm had survived an attack and shed its tail.

I used to catch Grass Snakes as a lad.
After a little gentle handling, they soon calm down and stop the pooing.
