I am Director for a local charity.

I have pestered the PH massive in the past for auction items and you have all come up trumps.THANKS :D:D:D

What I need this time is names of celebrities who have disabled children,or indeed brothers or sisters.
I am looking for a parent of a child with special needs who is famous. To be our patron.

Now I know Katy Price has a little boy who is blind and I know Gary linekar has a child who had leukemia as did Victoria Walters.
Anyone know of anymore or indeed know anyone famous enough to be our patron.
Corrie stars included. The person could be an adult who had special needs themselves as a child or even now. A disabled star.
not just visible disabilties but the invisible ones like dyslexia and Autism spring to mind.

Might be a bit out of your league I'm afraid I dunno, but Sir Jackie Stewart has dyslexia as does his son Paul.

I'll think you'll find Bob died a good few years ago, so might not be the most opportune of patrons.

His two sons both died in tragic circumstances, Gary from cerebral palsy and Simon from a heroin overdose.

All very tragic and a great shame, he was a friend of the family and a really wonderful person to meet.

Crikey, that had completely passed me by! Indeed, he may not be best choice then.

Obviously hadn't intended to bring up any personal sadness for his friends - it was a genuine suggestion.

No problem, it did indeed seem like a genuine mistake.
Fortunately, in a family kind of a way, I'm sure Bob would've wanted us all to see the funny side!

There must be more than this.

erm famous stars with disbalitlies then
or indeed anyone pull any strings if you know someone famous
ask them if they want to be a patron of a Special Needs Charity. for children and their families..

Long shot I know,But one thing I have learnt in the position is if you dont ask you dont get.

Hiya

Publicist Max Clifford also has a disabled daughter I believe. By the very nature of what he does he would be a good contact to have??

Having just read the current Wayne Rooney thread I would recommend him.

He's a famous mental retard with a violent personality disorder...perfect!

I think there are hoards of prolific people who are dyslexic - there does seem to be a link between people who are artistic, creative and high achievers and dyslexia. My partner is dyslexic and takes pleasure in pointing out the dyslexic "celebs". Trouble is the only one I can think of at the mo is Ozzy Osborne!

Will put thinking cap on further.
