Just got the info at: http://www.bhpworld.com/index.php?option=com_smf&Itemid=26&topic=62.0

So if you're still running stock suspension and want to upgrade but cant justify the costs of Nitrons, this sounds like the option to go for!!! :)

Just out of interest, how many of you have aftermarket suspension on your beasts???? and what make are the dampers???? :scratchchin:

Lol .. no-one needs a megaphone when Ash is about

guarantees : yuppety yupyups .. hopefully you'll not need it, but just contact me through my profile if you have any issues .. it's a protech manufacturer guarantee for 3 years .. but what i usually do in circumstances like suspension to save you down-time is just send out a pair of whatever you had then i'd get yours rebuilt and sell them on cheaply as factory rebuilt items. Saves shit loads of hassle and your car is off road minimum time.

Avo's + Joosprings provided, fitted and set up by Trackcar. Nitrons are a bit too much and protech werent around at the time... the avo's are fine for now.

I dont know how people can run standard shocks, ours were dead with pitiful mileage - and there are superior dampers available at a lesser cost.

Bugsy, is it the Gaz DA model you were on about?

Joo, is this the Protech model you were on about?

What most interested parties might like to know, is which setup is the one to go for?

A Gaz or Protech setup?

That's the double adjustable version that up to now was only available to the racing fraternity and is quite well regarded, the SA is a single adjustable version of your photo but now comes in graphite grey
anodised finish.

As for which one to go for, I would speak to the respective specialists ie Joo and Paul at Austec and make up your own minds.

Just to cause even more confusion Gaz will be launching a gas shock in the new year that will compete with other well known brands and should retail for about £850 for the kit.

Had a bit of a panic a couple of weeks back. Standard suspension was letting me down big time, so I had Nitrons fitted. Nitron turned my order around in three days, had them fitted by Austec the next day and was in France the day after.

Top marks to all involved. The ride quality and the stability of the car particularly under braking is way better. Unfortunate timing for me with so many great kits in development, but the Nitrons are still fantastic.

Steve.
