Hi we are just about to take possession of a Jaguar F type 2020 convertible and are looking to purchase an outdoor car cover- The price seems to range from £60-£500. Any advice or previous experience please ?

Hi

I have used a few different makes for my TVR
The best one for me is from Hamilton ,I have these for over 12 years
They are 5 layer and do not scratch. You need a clean car.
They have a fluffy layer and are breathable which is a must.
All covers except plastic which are a no-no last around 3-4 years.
It’s the sun that gets to them
They are just over £200

I also use a Hamilton half cover for my XK convertible

Hope this helps

I have had indoor covers from Classic Additions and Specialised Covers both of whom I believe do decent outdoor covers.

I've had three. They're good to start with but after a couple of years the elastic round the base starts to weaken and the fabric isn't waterproof. My current one is 2.5 years now and heavy rain just drives dust through the fabric onto the car where it dries on. It will also go green. However the service is good and they'll put a logo on it for £30 which is nice.

I actually find a £99 fake one from Amazon works better - it looks like a giant bin liner - god knows what it was designed to fit - but it's waterproof.
