Fitting a single din to replace my old RCD300 (golf Mk5)?

How hard can it be? LOL!

Fitted a new surround as the old RCD300 had pretty much died (although powered up!).

Finding a simple plug and play harness to go from the factory loom to my Sony single din is proving a tad "challenging" for some reason.

Can anybody recommend a plug and play option that doesn't require having to feed a red power to the 12V piggy lighter, for example?

I was hoping there would be a "Connects2" type of option, but am struggling to find it! I'm waiting for a reply from them, but thought I'd ask you gurus too

Early mk5s need a CAN gateway upgrade to be able to just plug in a stereo adaptor.

Otherwise it’s the solution you have now. Piggy backing the wire of the lighter though isn’t the end of the world.
