Phones Ban
Govt move to ban hands free too - or are they? It's going to get mighty confusing!
Discussion
The phone ban thing's pretty stupid but I think Podie's unearthed a good point - The Max Power crew all have stupidly loud stereos playing their latest copy of 'Ibiza thumping crap vol. 47' or something. Their cars are all badly modified, they drive like tossers and have lots of accidents. Connection? What about imposing a decibel limit on car stereos and introducing guidelines as to how much you can modify your car (ie motorsport licence required, no ground-scraping bolt-on crap that falls off and rips my exhaust off etc) Maybe the car gestapo can fine the Max Power crew instead of people on phones. They certainly don't know what to do with their weeks wages from the burger bar.

Smoking in cars (by drivers) is already illegal in Sweden.... wait for it, it usually takes 10 years for the rest of Europe to adopt Swedens lead.....
But its about time they banned handheld phones and made the initial fine minimum £250!!!
Ferkin' numpties........

Yeah, like we need more regulation covering the fitting and use of anything not supplied as standard. Relax - let gimps spend thousands on tacky crap because if you regulate their activity you're going to have to regulate engine tuning/suspension upgrades/big brakes for your track car.
My point about stereo's is that they can be quite distracting.
For example, on the Pioneer unit in my car, there are SO many bloody functions attached to tiny buttons, that I have to check which one it is... or scroll through a menu to get the traffic report to cut in (or not to cut in!).
We all know the tales of cars weaving across the road whilst someone changes a tape/CD/MD so surely in car entertainment is just as distracting... without considering the volume issue.
"but people talk on the mobile phone so it distracts them" - yeah, and people sing and pay more attention to the music "I love this bit, it's wikkid, innit" than the road.
What about Sat Nav... are they going to ban that?
Bonkers.
