Someone with a screw loose. That is awful!

Many, many years ago at a local swimming pool with a slide, someone was caught trying to put razor blades in the joins - why!?

I wouldn't normally condone lynching, but in cases like this I could make an exception.

More like a nail loose?

Joking aside, that is appalling.

Probably not 'no more nails'.

Pretty much this, the same scrotes who think stringing a wire across a cycle path might be a good laugh.

That's Australia. It may well be an urban myth there... not here.

Razor blades (or rather 'scalpel' blades) were found taped on a kid's slide as recently as 2018.
Oh, if you want to check, this was in Aughton, Lancashire.
More recent? Last year, news about broken glass at bottom of kid's slide (Liverpool), I'm sure there are more stories about razor blades in kid's parks.
Also last year - we were at the other end of the UK, Cornwall, and local news in Falmouth highlighted a kid's park where a dad came off a slide with his young daughter on his lap (fortunately), landing in the bark area at the bottom of the slide.
He put his daughter to one side, stood up and then his daughter screamed!
Why? The father looked and found his trousers covered in blood - hidden split tin cans and glass bottles and razor and pencil sharpener blades (chewing gum stuck to point upwards).

Yep, loons and nutters do really walk among us. Probably more today (imo) than ever before.

Oh it definitely happened in this case. Will have been about 25 years ago if not slightly longer.

I can’t find a news article but I was there.

If someone is spotted doing that with a few parents around they may regret it...

Na. Angry middle aged NIMBYs are more likely. I’d bet it’s someone who didn’t like the event the day before.

Same with wire across cycle paths. It seems to appear most often where there is lots of walkers on bridle
paths that don’t like cyclists.

A while ago it was found someone had put fishing wire across a few of the trails at my local MTB area at head height.

If someone had hit it at trail speed, it would not have been pretty!!

I believe the police actually investigated it!
