I used to get my Autocar in the post on a Monday or a Tuesday  so its not late and I save some money.

For the past month its been arriving on a Thursday (if at all), which is a PIA. In addition I had some girl ring me "your subscription has expired would you like a new one?" to which I replied that the mags delivery was so useless I wasnt sure I wanted to subscribe again. Next day Autocar pops through the door. I sent an email, "subscriptions never really expire, we just renew them automatically on DD" so wasn't pleased about that :nono: as if i'd agreed it'd have been a duplicate subscription.

Anyway, the main thing is, does anyone else get their Autocar late?

Tony :)

Stuart Forrest was publisher of Autocar and used to be an active PH member but I can't find him in the directory now. I think he's moved on to be publisher of Classic + Sports car anyway.

Have a look in the front of Autocar and send the new publisher an email if you can find the address. They like to hear about things like this and can put a trace on the mag to see what's causing the delay. I had a similar problem, but I'm an overseas subscriber.

My Autocar subscription usually plops onto the doormat on Tuesday (public hloidays aside) but occaisionally it's a two or three day wait. 52 weeks in a year, approx 45 are bang on time. I can live with that.

Coincidentally, the October Motor Sport dropped onto my doormat about five minutes ago.

90% of the time it arrives on Tuesday. And thats in London where the post gets lost, stolen, eaten by the dog, burned etc by the post office

I get Autosport, and F1 Racing, as F1 Racing is a monthly publication I have no idea when it is due to arrive, or whether it is late.

However with Autosport in the old house all of 1/2 mile away it always used to arrive on a Thursday. Since moving 12 months ago it has fiailed to arrive at all on 4 occasions, and recently has taken to arriving on a Friday.

I'll give them the benefit of the doubt in that case, see if it goes back to normal.

Thanks for all your input
