Hi all. Any advice on. Using a Peugeot Rifter please. I want small van capacity for bikes etc. so I’ve settled on the lwb version. I think the EAT8 auto makes sense for low powered family transport. I prefer petrol and do short school runs etc.regularly but have heard the odd scare story on the 1.2 PureTech. Would the 1.5 diesel make more sense? Are the 1.2 scare stories akin to the “ecoboom” rhetoric? I’m thinking the GT Line for high spec - it’s not going to be going anywhere quickly so I may as well have toys. Any alternative suggestions? Many thanks.

Most of your questions are answered elsewhere

In terms of the 1.2 the key seems to be having the belt changed no later than 5 years old, that helps a lot.

Isn't the 1.2 puretech engine basically junk? Known for burning oil and disintegrating wet belts.

PSA seem to be excelling in producing junk engines. One womans brand new 1.2 needed a decoke after 1k.

Ecoboom, now PureTrash.
