Apart from the obvious, is there any difference in the two cards? Does one work in a slighlty different way to the other, or carry more benefits, or does more things.

I have always had Visa cards, but recently got myself a mastercard in error, but i think i shall keep it anyway.

When travelling you sometimes find that places will only accept one (either Visa or Mastercard)... to be on the safe side, I have two credit cards - one of each.

Funny you should say that 'bird, I just made the same cockup. However I only did it for the 0% balance transfer (look, even £600 accrues interest!) so not really a problem...

I have two credits cards for exactly the same reason, just in case one or other is not accepted.
