Apologies for a rubbish photo, it's a grab from a video.

Yesterday (Sunday) lunch time we got buzzed several times by the this combo. At one point before this, one of the bi-planes was having fun with loops and the like whilst trailing smoke. After this pass, both biplanes broke away from the bigger plan and we didn't see them again.

Another (different) solo plane buzzed us again a bit later but I couldn't get a decent picture having come running out of the garage!

The top biplane looks like a Bucker, maybe a Jungmeister, given what appears to be a radial engine. The twin is very Avro Anson-ish, possible (WD413) G-VROE as that was repainted with invasion stripes a few years ago, not sure about the other biplane yet.

Looks like some of the Shuttleworth Collection were out for the day. Definitely a Jungmeister and the Anson. Not sure about the bottom type.

Thanks - I should add they would have been over Staffordshire / Cheshire / Shropshire if that helps anyone know what the event was (as I assume they weren't just out to enjoy the sunshine!).

That's not Shuttleworth's Anson.

Bottom one looks like one of those 4 seat DH Moth's, Puss Moth, Cirrus Moth or something like that...? Pretty sure Shuttleworth Collection have one of those widened fuselage, enclosed cabin type Moths?

The Anson flys out of Sleap too, seen regularly flying around north shropshire, the airfield is well worth a visit, good cafe, small museum etc etc..

I forgot about Sleap but often go out cycling that way. Still never got round to stopping at the cafe though!

There was a Vintage Aircraft Club Fly-in at Bodmin over the weekend. Maybe they were on their way back from it?

This is the Anson G-VROE

'tis very good for quite a small establishment. It was a mid-point stop off on a Shropshire PH Hoon in 2016, and this Lola joined us on the last leg from Sleap to Newport:-

Reusing my thread as we got buzzed at the weekend. Apologies for the rubbish picture, I'd run out the kitchen after the first pass (which sounded very loud!)

I’d say that’s a T-28 Trojan

Thanks folks. Knowing the plane helped with a Google and finding it was at Sleap as part of their Remembrance Sunday flying. Quite a distinctive engine noise.
