Two totally different events and I would be honest with the insurer.
For those of you that have responded, have you been in the same situation or are you giving your own philosophical/moral view?*
Keen to get views from people that have been there/done it, even insurance industry side.

It was common for people to think they could save up their accident damage and get it all fixed at once under one excess before returning the lease car.
Doesn't work like that. Insurers are wise to it.
You could get away with it if the damage is reasonable for the story you give them.

I've never been in that situation, but I did spend over 30 years handling insurance claims and we tended to pick up on these things.Two totally different events and I would be honest with the insurer.
