I’ve been selling some odds and sods on eBay and I’ve used pack link to buy postage.

They are now claiming that every one of my labels was under paid. I am fairly sure it wasn’t.

As things stand, I cannot delete my eBay payments account unless I provide another. If I don’t delete it, they will pay pack-link automatically when I have funds.

It seems like I have to query every £2.94 charge separately.

Has anyone else had this issue and, if so, have you found a solution?

Are they claiming it was heavier than you allowed for?

I had this once, they said item was weighed at their sorting office and they wanted an extra charge.

I just questioned how could they prove it was my item that was heavier and what proof could they send me ie: a photo of my package on a scale.

They cancelled the charge after a bit of back and forth.

They've done this to me twice now, both items were 100% within weight tolerance

That’s weird. I just had one of these this morning.

As far as I can establish from my phone, they are saying overweight. It’s not easy to tell. But I’ve been using them for years and never had a problem, I am not sure what has changed.

Having had a look at one transaction they seem to be saying that a pair of suede loafers wrapped in a carrier bag weighed 2.5kg. scratchchin

Not something I've had a problem with, but I measure and weigh the item, and write the dimensions and weight on the package.

I challenged these charges and Packlink told me to prove that the packages weren't overweight.

I replied that it was they who wanted to charge extra, therefore for them to prove the parcels were overweight.

They have decided instead to refund the charges.

We use to do a lot of eBay until they banned me. As standard we would always write the weight of the parcel after packing on it along with our return details stamp. We used to use a local post office and left our parcels with the post mistress to be processed (along with a signed blank cheque for her to complete each day for the payment) so were never there at the point they were stamped so it allowed her to proceed and raise any issues with my wife the next day. Just wonder if marking the weight clearly would help in the future ?

In the future take a pic of your package as evidence when you have weighed it.
