On YouTube?

My current viewing includes Aquaholic - about boats and boating. Quite low-key/one man and his Go-Pro. A lovely mix of his boat and various yachts/boats of all sizes and prices.

Missionary Bush Pilot - I am not religious, but the fact that in Papua New Guinea folks still go on MIssionary missions to spread the 'Word of God' is slightly surreal - but it is him as a pilot, in PNG, with their weather/mountains and varying degrees of runway - plus his professional videos that make it fascinating watching for me.

Any other good channels that stray from car purchases/rebuilds/look at me and my flash motor?

I have found a railway website that the strangely satifies the trainspotter I didn't know I was.

Maybe it's the scenery more than the chugging of Class 37s

Unblocking drains - weirdly theraputic
Spots being squeezed
Fungal feet & toenails being sorted

My wife says i'm sick & weird

But lately I've found 2 Slovakians who travel round Europe checking the lowest rated hotels & restaurants. Quite entertaining.

Aquaholic is a good channel - wish he had more sailing boats but the big motor yachts get the views.

On the boating topic - I also watch a bit of Sailing La Vagabonde, young australian sailing family, they're currently in SE Asia. Can get a little righteous and out of touch at times (don't start me on the recent fasting video), but the videos are impressive quality and good escapism with extensive back catalog.

Trektrendy is a fun one, british lad travelling the world on luxury planes, trains and cruise ships.

Colinfurze - mad inventions, a bunker, tunnels in his home in Lincolnshire. Chaotic channel for all ages.

Cody Townsend (The Fifty) - Pro skier skiing the 50 top lines in North America with his Swedish filmmaker Bjarne, amazing series.

-Several channels of people walking old railway lines

-Ashville

-Harry’s farm

-Superseriousfarmer is a good one IMO (followed him on IG first before he had YouTube) he shows the trials and tribulations of farming with no money/minimal equipment and just renting land rather than having a proper farm.

beardmeatsfood - a guy eating food, but really well made, good production and camera work

themightyjingles - older gamer guy. I'm not really into the gaming but his voice and delivery is strangely relaxing and funny.

cinebingereact - canadians reacting to movies.

The Australian guy jetting drains and plumbing. Has a plastic rat.

Vlogs on the caledonian sleeper. Quite a few saying it is not possible to sleep on it. It should no be called a 'sleeper' hehe

carlisle 195 - guy wild camping and cooking on a fire. Always had a proper feast on the go. Not posted much recently.

open goal - scottish football, hit n miss. Some guests are brilliant, others less so.

Nautistyles/nautiguys - couple who crew on charter yachts, doing yacht tours (and the nautiguys channel covers the build of their Bering 82 which is a mindblowingly awesome bit of kit).

Truebluetravellers - couple who build campers then go travelling. Has given me the idea for the business I want to do as a semi retirement to get away from corporate life.

Rory Alexander - streams himself racing on GT7 and ACC, genuinely nice bloke and somewhat therapeutic to watch.

Harry Garage/Farm.

Over the last few nights I've found myself watching some quite addictive walks round different areas of degredation.

Down at heel seaside places like Blackpool and Jaywick together with zombie towns like Waterlooville and parts of London like East Ham and Barking.

Generally there's no comnentary, just walking and filming. Grim yet fascinating at the same time. Never really noticed the amount of betting shops there are EVERYWHERE.

I'm subscribed to Foyle Arms and Hogg, Viva Dirt League, and Universal Comedy

I don't watch all thier stuff but there are some decent videos from Veritasium, Smarter Every Day, the Slomo Guys, Numberphile, Standup Maths, Mark Rober, Steve Mould, 3Blue1Brown, Tom Scott and many others.

I tend to use youtube more to look up how to do things or short but interesting videos rather than as an alternative to TV though

Travel: Jet Lag: The Game is quite good fun. Travel based "games" such as racing around the world, with a few challenges along the way.

Cooking - Babish Culinary Universe is a pretty foolproof channel to follow for some quite interesting/fun/tempting/pop-culture dishes.
