I hear there'll be several hundred Astons there as AMOC are putting a big effort. It's a long range mission for me but it seems too good to miss!

I have tickets but sadly the weather forecast is not looking good for my rotbox, 6 hours there and back in the rain will be no fun even if the windscreen wiper motor and rack have just been rebuilt for the first time since 1962

Keep an eye on the forecast, it may well change. Hope you make it. Or find a friend with a 4x4 and trailer...

What & when is this please? I’m only 30 minutes from Sandringham and always like a car show. Thanks.

Yep. I'll be there - a word of warning. Don't be late otherwise you'll be given "pole position" parking, which is a fancy way of saying the main car park!

The Pageant of Motoring is on Sunday, but the AMOC are having their annual concours event there as well, which I am attending. So a large Aston Martin presence.

Almost - 'pole position' ticket holders are asked to be in by 10am (which I promptly got them to make 11am!).

They say you can upgrade to a 'VIP' ticket on the day which is £25.

I’ve entered the ‘72 Vantage. Three and a half hours to get the 120 miles or so there from Gloucestershire. Bloody Romans didn’t do East to West. Staying at a pub for two nights nearby, so should be a great weekend.

Yep - got caught out last year. Was supposed to be on the AMOC stand, but got there about 8.45 and was forced into the "pole position" parking area, as were a few others. "Pole position" is a separate field reserved for classics, but not near the main car show. No amount of bargaining with them would help matters, so had to live with it. I'm not a big fan of the organisers (not AMOC's fault) as it seemed like "money-making venture first, car show second". Last year a lot of clubs didn't attend - what does that tell you? A friend runs a local MG club and they were messed around as well. They're not attending this year.

Assuming the cut-off was 8.30am that's ridiculously early.

Well, if the weather is going to be bad I'll write off the £10 and stay here. I'll be much better off as no need to use petrol!

They'd said you have to be in position by 9am - then changed their minds on the day. I don't know whether the Aston parking will be subject to the same rules as I think it is in a separate area with its own entrance, We'll see on Sunday! Anyway, aim to be there about 8:30 if you can (and bring a coat!). Two years ago it was about 10 degrees C and felt freezing all day. Last year wasn't so bad.

That's simply not acceptable; I would be fairly incandescent about that. In fact if they're that arsey I'm starting to lose interest... and the forecast is for thunderstorms so I might stay at home and press on with a model boat instead...!

Yep - will also be there and really looking forward to it. The forecast isn't too bad. Just take an umbrella and that's that sorted wink

‘Twas a good turnout, despite the grim weather forecast. The sun even came out between the showers.
I counted 1 TVR, 2 i8’s and about 300 Astons, plus some other cars.
