As per the title...looking for advice on best route from Ludlow to Portmeirion and then on to Conway.

Will be in a Caterham and 981 GT4 so looking for the nicest driving route. Don't want to spend too much time on really small, tight, bumpy lanes but rather nice quick flowing A and B roads.

Scenery of course is important but secondary to the road. Ideally without loads of cameras etc..

Any advice welcome.

Thanks, Ed

A49 to Craven arms
A489 to Church stoke
A490 to Welshpool
A490 to Llanfyllin
B4391 to Bala
A4212 to the A470
Then on to Portmeirion
Then on Blaenau Ffestiniog
A 470 to Comwy

I would add instead of Blaenau Ffestiniog:
A498 to Pen-y-Gwryd
A4086 to Capel Curig
A5 to Bangor
North Wales Expressway to Conwy

Come off the A4212 on to the top part of the B4391 to Ffestiniog- failure to do so will deprive you of miles of absolute bliss
