Morning all,

Hoping for some help regarding a Toyota Yaris 08 plate (automatic).

The horn on the car has stopped working and I am at a bit of a loss on how to chase down the fault. I have checked and replaced the fuse (original was fine but changed anyway) and checked it on a test light and it is getting power. Relay is clicking when the horn is pressed. Stripped the front end this morning to get to the horn and disconnected the wire. There is continuity in the wire all the way back to the fuse box, but when I run a test light into the connector (from the horn) and then press the horn, not getting any readings.

I am unsure where to go next with this - the only thing I can think off is a fault with the clock spring, but if this is faulty then the relay would not click (if that makes any sense) - anyone got any ideas on what I can do next?

I thought that mysef initially but when I run a continuity test from the horn connector to the fuse box, there is no break in the wire. Im really stumped with this one

Weirdly - Mrs has just come back and said thanks for fixing the car. Horn is now working - it must be a loose connector somewhere which I have knocked back into place when reassembling the car

I may not have fully understood everything you've written, but does the horn itself work when supplied with power directly/locally?

morning - yes - checked it independently off a different battery. Its very strange - must have been a loose connection
