Can applying the handbrake when moving damage the clutch?

Yesterday I made a very stupid mistake. A was coming to a stop on a slight incline, so would need to perform a hill-start when moving off again, but for whatever stupid reason I accidentally lifted the handbrake before coming to a complete stop. The rear-axle locked up but the car didn't stall.
The car seems to be operating normally, but the clutch is making a squeaking noise. It sounds to be coming from the clutch pedal itself, but I'm not certain. The car is a 987 Cayman so the gearbox is all the way at the back.
Am I being paranoid or is something such as the release bearing possibly damaged?

Wouldn't give it a second thought.
Reassuring having such a decent handbrake, not sure what sort of park brake you have but all our cars have the superb (and generally trouble free) drum inside disc design, every now and again it pays to apply the park brake gently with the car still moving to clean up the drum friction area.
