Mrs Matty C has an Enyaq coming soon thanks to a ridiculous good deal via Tusker.

Home charging all the way via E’on I should imagine as that’s who we are with currently.

I was all set to buy an Ohme charger (my brother has one, works for him) until I realised you need decent phone signal! Something we do not have!

Any suggestions please for a good charger that will work either via Ethernet cable or Wi-fi and has an app to make things easy?

I have a Sync EV that I have blocked on my vodafone wifi, that way it acts as a dumb charger and I can use timer functions via the car, which is much better/smoother. If you have an Enyaq, timers, charging, a/c, etc can be configured through the car or the app in a similar way to the myaudi app I use, I imagine

Assuming you are wanting installed rather than granny, I can’t fault my MyEnergi Zappi. It’s been reliable, easy to use and the app gives good insight into grid use in addition to charging stats.

I think the zappi only communicates via your home network (either wifi or ethernet) it doesn't need a phone signal at all.

Another Zappi vote here.
It can also be used with solar should you go that route later.

Have a look at which chargers are supported by various smart energy tariffs.

Gives you more options in the future.

And another zappi vote, mines hardwired in and has caused no problems. Works well with solar / batteries / octopus.

Another Zappi user here. Same situation as you regarding mobile signal - very nearly ordered the Ohme until I realised it was phone signal only!

As above, Zappi.
