Austec launches new alloy shocks

Worth going to see Paul on his up and comming open day because he has been testing the latest Gaz alloy shocks on his Tamora and a Cerb and has now taken on the main dealership for the UK for these shocks
Paul will be displaying the single and double adjustable shocks with rose joints on Sunday.
I understand Paul will be retailing these at very competative prices.

Don't write off Ohlins Ash, they are comming up with a new kit that looks very competative and I am keeping an eye on the cost with a view to distributing.
As for Gaz, we are talking hard anodised Aluminium shocks with rose joints, to the same valving spec that Guglielmi recomended and subject to Pauls approval, we are under £700 for a kit and because Gaz machine all their own parts, they can specify higher grades and guages of Aluminium to give the racing guys a more durable shock.

I don't set the RRP on the shocks Jools, that's down to Gaz
It's more about value for money for those who want to go the alloy shock route, as for springs, that's down to Paul, there are cheap springs about that would cut retail prices down even further but I know he won't go that route.

It's really easy in reality .. all you need to do is call each of the damper sellers in turn and ask them a few questions about their stuff and what they can do for you. Explain what it is you like about your car at the moment, and what you don't like about the car , the areas you feel it's letting you down and the areas you think you'd like to improve in some sort of priority-order.

Best thing to do is sit down for half an hour and go through some of your favourite roads in your head .. work out how you could have more fun in your car ..

If you do track days or competition think about where you're losing time, where the car doesn't react faithfully, where other similar cars maybe have the edge ..

then put all that to each damper seller and see what they come up with to help you. don't hint to any other seller what any previous one has told you .. don't give any clues away about what the other rivals have said .. make plenty of notes if you can and sit back and study them with a clear head. call any of them again if you need to ask more questions or to clarify any technicalities.

last step is spend your money with the person you feel is able to help you most.
