OK I'm sure we've been here before but maybe it needs updating.

What would YOU be prepared to spend on a single digit TVR reg with a prefix letter. Like B7 TVR for instance?

It's not that important to me, I just think they look good with a TVR plate. It doesn't make them any more reliable or any faster so what's the max you would pay?

Thanx.

Zero pounds and no pence. I won't go into any reasons for fear of offending all those who have forked out vast quantities of cash for these things

Depends on the prefix letter/number combo, I dare say V8 TVR or S6 TVR would be worth a few bob more.

Like B7 TVR, nothing more relevant.

I personnely wouldn't pay huge amounts for any car related number plate unless you see yourself always having a TVR it would look a bit silly on a Nova
But then interest rates are pants, shares are all over the place, so alternative intestments have to be worth a punt

Speed8 - is that 7 TVR or is it any letter plus 7 TVR, as in B7 TVR meaning any letter?

Or am I being just a bit daft here?

I meant the # as any letter, then the 7 TVR bit on the end.

i.e.: B7 TVR, C7 TVR, etc.

You'd probably pay a bit more for A7 TVR though, 'A' number plates usually demand a higher price.

Seems that ****TVR plates start at a grand.
That's more than I would pay for a private plate, as I could spend the cash elsewhere on the car (new carpets for eg). However I've got my eye on a £250 DLVC plate, which would nicely personalize my car and make it feel that bit more special to me, and not a car that someone else has pre-owned. If I was getting a new TVR, I'd have a decent private plate from the-off.

So what would A14 TVR be worth then? (as in - this garage is A1 for TVR etc.)

My neighbour had A14 TVR on his Tuscan (came with the car from Fernies). Not sure that he sold it on - think he just sold it with the car. Cant say that I thought it was a nice plate myself.
I reckon you should always hold out at a low offer for a plate. most prices are totally unrealistic and they just pray for a mug to arrive.
