Currently have a CBR600F thinking of getting slightly newer and a little more up to date. I currently have a year 2000 CBR600F with about 6K on the clock and i in mint condition. I have been looking at the CBR600RR and possibly going to test ride one at the weekend. What i want to know is are they all there cracked up to be, and is there much difference between my current bike or should i not bother and maybe look at a kwack 636??

Any comments appreciated.

Err, I'm with him on this one.
If it was a Fireblade on the other hand. . . .

Yeah but if it was a Blade then you'd be putting it against a ZX10R in which case....Kwack kwack kwack kwack

I'd say go for the Kwack every time, more character and AAAGGGHHH !, but just as good as an every day bike (you even get the extra cc's for those pub who's got the biggest engine competitions)

speaking as a 600RR owner and having ridden the 636 i would say the Honda is abetter bike, this is an unbiased view i just find the RR confidence inspiring and the handling is amazing thier 'mass centralization' concept of recent years has made an amazing bike in the 600RR, the 636 might have a couple more bhp at the back wheel but actual performance difference is negligable and chances are 9 out of 10 riders would ride faster on the RR but in the end its down to which one you like best.

Go for the RR. Its not as twitchy when cranked right over on a potholed bend. I also find them more user friendly on longer journeys.

Wait for the new Triumph 675, looks like it will wipe the floor with the rest of the 600 line-up.
