Your regular go-to threads and why

A picture a day in Biker Banter - pics of our bikes say so much more about us than pics of our cars.
Pretty much anything in Speed, Plod and the Law - if you've not been done for speeding at some point you're not a real Pistonhead but there's plenty of scope here for a bit of schadenfreude.
Similarly Reader's Cars and Classic Cars and Yesterday's Heroes - perhaps the most reliably civilised and well-informed discussions on the whole forum.
Anybody won one of those car lotteries? in General Gassing - an absolute hoot, full of dreamers, and nothing wrong with that of course, mugs and what look like shills who seem to post only on the thread. Not sure whether Pistonheads should ban it for promoting irresponsible gambling or leave it there as a warning to the curious.

I always view PH in the same order, yes there is something a bit wrong with that, in fact it’s a little scary, because I view some stuff I’m not really interested in.
Starter, ‘Holidays and Travel’ (I like travel and reading about other people travels), > ‘Film, TV and Radio’ (Suggestions, of what to watch), > ‘S,P&L’ (No idea why), > ‘Classic Cars and Yesterday’s Heroes’ (its an interest of mine, nice thread full of knowledgeable people), > ‘N,P&E’ (read, no interest to contribute), Then off to ‘The Lounge’ (Can be fun and interesting).
I also like the food thread, biker banter, reader’s cars and general gassing. If I’m feeling a little down, ‘Photos of your dogs’, I’m not a pet lover, but this can restore my faith in humanity.

The dogs thread in All Creatures Great and Small is the best and friendliest section of PH by an absolute country mile. I’ve always loved the pics and the stories, and the way everyone offers support when a poster loses their dog. The words of comfort when I lost my boy a couple of weeks ago had me blubbing like a baby.

Both the big YouTube threads (General Gassing and Lounge) Caturday, Ukraine, Newcastle United, Fast wagon/estate threads, couple of video game threads, animated gifs are my main regular repeats over the last couple of years
Generally fun, interesting, topical, low drama ones (exception being Ukraine one of course)

I must have a look at the Dogs thread
I used to read the fountain pen thread, there were some knowledgeable people on there, went down hill when the practical advice stopped.
Must admit I would like to see a cross marque thread on engineering and tuning, perhaps oil technology especially now that almost all new cars have turbocharging, there was only one oil for example in my experience that quietened the whine from my turbo after a hot run, but I don't know why that should be the case, and why some very good oils should not be used to break in a new or rebuilt engine, when other oils are ok

Teaspoons and interesting(sic) photos are my two 'goto' threads.
(Not cat photos, obvs).
Nicely gnomic. (Not cat photos, obvs).
(No offence meant to regular posters on there).
