It’s busier than I’ve seen before.

Currently under red flag, Cadillac stopped at Arnage

I suspect the problem is that to get the TV coverage working you'd have to add a couple of days extra to all the costs, as the crews would need paying for Monday as well.

I quite like the 'secret' nature of the test day, it is almost a shame they now have official timing. Just having rumours of the pace of each car was part of the fun.

It’s going to be a great race. Yesterday all but one of the Hypercars (so that’s 21 of 22) lapped within 2.9 seconds of one another. Go back 5 years ago and the Test day top 10 was covered by 9 seconds (courtesy of just a handful of LMP1s).

Looks like the weather could play a part - reminds me of the soggy sleeping bag year of ‘95…

Certainly looks close at the front, when was the last time there was a) such a large field for the outright win and b) such a large variety of manufacturer entries for the outright win?

I think that most of the GT3s were in a 4 second window as well.

Going to be close in all 3 classes.

1999 was a good year. 25 years ago - bugger it feels like yesterday…

At the sharp end - Toyota, Nissan, the flying M-B’s, Audi & eventual winners BMW. There or thereabouts Riley & Scott, Lola, Courage & (non works) Ferraris.

GT class not so strong/varied but we did have the Vipers…

…and how did I forget another modest little LMP1 entry that year :
