Yes. On flat ground measure the height to chassis all round. None is perfect but 3/4" is a long way out.

When I had a near miss recently (numpty incapable of judging distance or speed) I stopped very suddenly and had to mount a low kerb.

I noticed the nearside ride height was lower and upon inspection by David Batty, it turned out the ball joint pin was bent.

One possibility among hundreds I guess!

I have this problem. Have been told by one dealer that they all do that sir, and by two dealers that they don't. Am getting my car back from the 'they all do that' and sending it a no it does not.....Does the car also have difficulty turning into some corners i.e. is a tad slow at reacting. Mine is just over an inch lower. BTW, is you car quite old i.e. 94/95?

Sounds like the shocks and springs have worn ,do you get a rubbing sound going over potholes or scuffs on the inside of the wheel arch, mine sat lower on the passenger side, so i fitted new uprated gazzmatic shocks and springs with a 3 year guarantee, car is cured now with a much better ride. Check it out, the first symptoms was the front passenger tyre wearing away.

I had this problem, believe it or not it was two different size tyres left on by the previous owner.

Did you check them?

How often do you drive the car with a passenger? If you are driving alone and as long as you are fat enough, your weight might bring the car back level again!!

well tyre sizes are ok ,but it does scuff on passenger side on full left lock but only slightly so i suppose i will at least change the springs to start with then the dampers when funds permit.

Pennisula autos do a version of shocks called avos, not totally sure but around £90 each plus springs about £40 each on top, if the shocks come with the springs ready mounted then they are very easy to change about an hour each side two bolts one top and bottom. lot of work to take the shocks apart and change the springs only. Is your front passenger tyre wearing as well ?

Had same problem when I bought '94 4L Chim with 15k on clock only. Contacted first owner and was told--like that when it was new. They apparently don't leave factory absolutely perfect.

Mine did not list when I first got it. In fact my RO noticed it one month, so I can be sure it did not do so before. AND, the thing seems to not corner quite so well anymore, so I am assuming that it is a suspension issue.
