Rear Window fit - Help
Discussion
Is anyone out there suffering from the same problem with their back window.
When in, after a few miles it starts to squeak, and continues to squeak on all but the smoothest of roads.
It is driving me mad :banghead:
I have taken it out and refitted it on numerous occassions but still cannot get it to be quiet.I have tried placing a strip of extra foam between the bootlid and the bottom of the window and putting french chalk around the rubber seal that the window sits on but with no success.
It would appear that after securely placing the top of the window into the top apperture and then securing the bottom two retaining clips, after a few miles of going over the bumpy road surfaces and the vibration of the car etc, the window seems to slip down a bit and the inside of the window moves against the rubber seal hence causing a squeaking noise.
It is not a major issue, but you know what its like, once you hear a noise you are listening out for it all the time, and its doing my head in.
Anyone else had the same problem? and if so, how have you fixed it?
