Car Bubbles

Anyone use them ?

Not ideal but attempted to seal the garage up from little rodents but its going to be a massive job so looking into a car bubbles instead

This one looks like it will be the easiest to live with.......

I have had one for a number of years and it has been great. Then I ordered another one - this time an outside one. And waited. And waited. And waited. And started building a garage. And waited. And finished the garage. And cancelled the order.

It is no longer a slick process.

Was it this make you had in the garage ? seem good value on the face of it ?

I have two of them the zips are a weakness. The one I use regularly broke its zip after about 3 years and I botched a fix with Velcro.
They are very effective

Carcoon Veloce looks good but finding one to order was difficult and they never answered the phone.

Easily modded to fit up and over doors
Great bit of kit, expensive but worth it for uninsulated outside garage

I have an outdoor Carcoon, which seems to do a good job.

Another vote for the outdoor carcoon, had one for years and used now and then when the garage is out of action for a period or two.

I had two outdoor carcooms before I purchased the indoor veloce versions.
The outdoor carcoons are fine for storage but a bugger to use regularly.

1.Unzip carcoon and fold top cover back onto ground. Drive car out and either zip carcoon up again or leave open.

2. Dash back in rain with car and either unzip carcoon or drive in. Zip up and allow to inflate again.

3 next time you go out the crap from the wheels of the car is going to be all over the floor of the carcoon and will be transferred to the roof of the carcoon the next time it deflates with no car in it.
4next time car is put in it the crap will be transferred to the car’s roof and body panels.

I’ve used Carcoons and Airchambers. I currently have 4 whirring away.

Both are a right pain to use regularly and I would only consider them for cars that spend a good part of the year laid-up.
I would also only use anything that has an internal frame.

All that said, they do a great job of preserving cars.
Mine come out after months without even rust forming on brake discs.

Yes, a regular carcoon veloce in the first garage. But I see others have made recommendations on products you are more likely to receive this century.

these issues with indoor or out carcoon bud ?

It does sound like they are a lot of grief to use regularly. I assume it gets to the stage that once the car is in there it stays there as it such hassle to get it out to use?

The car I have in mine doesn't get used much, it would be a pain for a daily driver, but really it's just a matter of turning it off, undoing the zip around the bottom, pulling off the cover and driving away. Putting it away means pulling the cover over, zipping up again, and turning the power to the fan back on. A few minutes.
