'Leather' Seats in BMW F30

Following on from the the 'BMW using plastic and not real leather for seats?' thread, I've been using Colourlock cleaners and protection on my 2013 F30. Given that my chairs are apparently not leather, am I wasting my money/time on using this product or does it benefit/protect the 'plastic'?!

I dont think it has any benefit personally, id just get a spray on wipe off cleaner designed for vinyl.

I use Dr Leather for my 'leather' seats which still need cleaning of course. Modern leather is generally non absorbent coated plastics and so traditional leather care products just sit on the surface. No point in trying to feed or condition plastic!

Do you have any product suggestions? I like the Colorlock cleaner as it leaves the 'leather' with a matt finish. I could continue to use Colorlock I suppose but if there's anything cheaper.....

Dr Leather cleaner is very good or Gtechniq tri-clean which is a much more versatile product.

The Colourlock cleaner won’t do any harm, in fact it works well on synthetic surfaces.

No point shelling out for a new product.

I'm running a bit low on the Colorlock cleaner so will need to re-stock soon

I use the Dodo Juice stuff on my coated leather (works just as well on faux leather apparently)
