97 Cerb seat removal, please help!

How the hell do you get the seats out? I have found the bolts and nuts but the rear ones, on the passenger side, are just spinning. I cant see of any way of holding the head of the bolt. You can only just get you finger on it.

Does the pax seat have to be in a set position?

I have the same problem on my S and I'm going to cut them off with a mini grinder and mig the new bolts

you need to wedge a flat bladed screwdriver down the runner to hold the bolt down into the bottom grooved bit of the lower runner itself. pleanty of penetrating oil on teh threads / clean off an underseal etc etc to make the threads nice and free. Often easier to undo the bolts with one person under the car with a ratchet and another in het car holding the bolt firm with the screwdriver.

Well tried for hors to get the bloody bolts out, and its a no go. I am going to have to cut the nuts off the bottom and fit new bolts, that is if I can get new ones in!

The trimmer I last used, said he'd re stitch the seat for £35 or £50 if he removed the seat.

Needless to say, he said next time I want it stiched it's £35 for the stiching & £200 if he has to get the seat out.

Mine are not rusty I just cant get the spanner, or screwdriver , to hold the head of the bolt.

I am going to cut my nuts off tonight.

I have had the same result, cut the feckers off, its much easier
