Not a very good human being. Waited till she was hours from death to say sorry, by which time it was too late for me to go visit. Sadly (or should I say happily?), we can choose our friends but not our families....

My mum was a dress/costume maker and freelanced through the 60’s and 70’s for the BBC and made 6 costumes every week for Pans People (Top of the Pops dance troupe if you were unaware)

I was the most popular kid at secondary school when classmates found out that I knew which weeks Babs and her chums would be wearing hot pants which they could share with their fathers if they wanted to curry favour or haggle for more pocket money!
