Cleaning wheels without removing them

Hi all, what would you recommend either products or methods for washing wheels? I'm struggling particularly on the front wheel to get around the massive brake discs and other gubbins at the rear. I did have a long thin oxford brush to get in gaps but it wasn't stiff enough and didn't really do much. Seems a shame to give the bike a decent clean but the wheels still have a layer of grime, luckily being black its not that obvious but I know it's there

I've found great success with just spraying chain cleaner on a rag and giving the wheels a wipe while the bike is on stands.

The WD-40 chain cleaner stuff seems to just dissolve any grime without any impact to the wheel or paint finish.

It should be noted I suppose, this really will only work when if you're a fair weather rider and some brake dust and chain fling are about the worst of the cleaning.

For wheel cleaner? I’m a big fan of the bilt hammer wheel cleaner.

You need this, it's simply incredible. Use on my car and bikes, you literally don't need a brush, all the grime is coming off (just don't inhale it!!):

Another fan of Bilt hammer. Non acidic and shifts an unreal amount of crap. Tried most cleaners before settling on this.

I use it on bikes and cars……minimal effort required.
