A mate has token to have a Tuscan for the day - but only gets 150 free miles and each extra mile is £2.50 or another day = £100 +150 miles.

How can he get the most out of it in that time - rather than just crising about - Would obviously want to give it LARGE. Tarck, trailers possible, but pick up drop off is midday - most likely to stop going to tracks - airfield - an one own an airfield - any ideas and I'll pass it on...

Hmmm - glad I don't have the problem - 150 miles then giving it back - that is a Crime!

Having said that I think I drive the Chimera too much.

Beer sometime Andy?

Jelly,

Would be interested to hear your mate's thoughts on dealing with Bespokes - having very nearly reached my 25th birthday (now I'm insurable - wahoo!!!), and with a credit card in my pocket, I'm a little bit keen to see what they're like.

I'm Jelly's mate who's getting the Tuscan....

Bespokes seem like a ridiculously expensive method of renting a nice car.

1) £350 + VAT for midweek first day rental. 150 miles only.
2) £3000 deposit (their insurance excess)
3) Extra midweek day £100 + VAT for only another 75 miles.
4) Extra mileage is £2.50/mile (or £40 per 100 miles!)
5) You need to be 30 years old with a drivers license for 2 years.

I haven't actually booked it yet, but I've got a voucher which entitles me to the first day for free. However, there's no way in hell that 150 miles is going to be enough, so I'm probably either going take another days for £100, or just find someone who knows how to do "mileage adjustment" on a Tuscan...I only need to shave off a coupla hundred miles!

Latest today (from Mister Ninja) is some TWAT has just smashed hire car up again - think they have two but second time while waiting for this car - apparrently the dick tried racing a bike in Baker Street - lost it in the wet - smashed in one wing and ripped a door off.
May have to wait a bit then! See if they DO have two?
