sony vtxd800u freeview help

okay so i need some help with this freeview box. when i got to my uni place in leeds, i did a search for channels and it picked them all up fine. ive been watching them for a few days then today like a numpty i unplugged the box and had to retune to get all the listings back, only it didnt pick the itv frequency, which is transmitter number 27 and channel number 40 according to the manual.

when you press search it stops on number 40 for around a minute, but doesnt come up with any channels, it just carrys on.


whats the best way to get itv channels back? is it just a case of keep searching now and again in the hope they can be identified, or is there a sure-fire way of getting them?

I had this once, just kept scanning untill it found them!

damn, ive done it like 5 times, guess i'll have to keep trying then if thats all i can do!

still searching and it still wont pick it up.
serious question: does it have anything to do with the weather? as its cloudy now so dont know if that means anything, i doubt it

When I bought my Freeview box the chap at the shop said the Leeds area transmitter is having a lot of work done to it at the moment and that channels appear and disappear quite frequently. At the mo I have to tune my box about twice a week to keep all the channels, its a PITA. Im at Leeds uni too btw, what course do you do there?

im at leeds met studying business information management.

thanks for the info, i did a scan around 10 mins ago and got all 82 channels on my box.

hope i dont have to retune, i dont think i will all being well, this sony freeview box is amazing!
