Anyone on here own or know who owns, Mica Blue Metallic, V8s J1* TVR ?

This was my first TVR and I've just across it ten years on at Goodwood Revival on one of the Public car parks on Friday.

It's in a shocking state! I can't believe anyone in their right mind would let a car like that descend into the sort of dishevelled state that is fit only for the scrap yard.

Paint work stained and scratched, trim falling off, lights cracked, indicators hanging out of the bumper trim to name a few of the issues noticed during a cursory glance.

If the owner doesn't want it or can't be bothered to put it right, can someone suggest he passes it on to someone that WILL look after it?

Crying shame!

This was how it USED to look

I think it lives in Teddington ( middx ) as I am sure that it is the same reg plate as one I have seen parked there several times , I must admit it does look a bit shabby . I dont think the owner posts on here as I have tried to make contact ,perhaps he is too embarrased !

Perhaps he's used it a lot? What's the mileage now?

Sounds a lot like Mr Sheen's vehicle....

I have seen many comments now about Peters car and its condition (even the ones made by himself) and yeah the car does look shall we say errr well used but I have to say for me, all is forgiven once you see all the lovely hardware lurking under the slightly distressed body work .. Its just the bizniss and was one of the cars I really wanted to see when I set off for SCH3. What the hell when a car gets driven as hard as I suspect that does on a regular basis its gonna have a few marks here and there.
Keep up the good work Peter ya car is a beastie and I for one like it a lot..

Carl.

Yep Andy Parrott wasn't it? He traded it via Malcolm Thomas at SHG in Farnham on a commission sale basis i think and it was pristine hence we bought it. When we sold it at 4 yrs old awaiting the arrival of a Cerb 4.2, it had been used regularly and was still pristine.

A car like this should not have been "discarded" and treated like a mass produced car. Common sense dictates that to let it go is going to require some significant investment to put it right in the future.
That's the bit that puzzles me...... no annoys me actually.

Er - it's his car. If he wants it to be shgabby/lacks the funds to put it right, it's his business!

Stick a note asking if he wants to sell if it bothers you that much.
