My son has just bought himself a 2017 (Mk5) VW Polo GT - a lovely little car that I'm enjoying 'testing' a little bit!
As I normally do all my own maintenance on the family cars I immediately looked into getting a Haynes manual covering this model only to find out that Haynes no longer do model specific maintenance manuals for more recent motors, stating that it would be unrealistic to do a full strip down on every model of car available. (What did they used to do then?)
What they offer instead is a more generic (I think) download Haynes Autofix. Call me old fashioned ('You're old fashioned!'), but I prefer a hardcopy that I can refer to/hold/study before starting/compare the photos to the actual car.
I do see that this Autofix product being useful for showing OBD info/fault codes etc, but would still prefer this in hardcopy form.

So the question I'd like to ask is - does anyone know of any hardcopy info which details servicing requirement, fluid specs, torque settings and the like for more recent car models (in particular this generation of Polo) that could be referred to? I have considered trying an older variant Polo Haynes manual - I'm sure there are many items carried over from model to model, but this is less than ideal.

Many thanks for your help.

Pay for a temporary Erwin account and download the factory service manuals. Much better than a third party thing.

If you need a hard copy you'll have to print it out.
