No fun now

I feel there's just no excitement or fun now driving or riding or very little. Everywhere you go out dam near it there's bloody cameras and you never know if there's unmarked cop cars near you.
Especially at night, you've no hope of telling till its to late.

I'm seriously thinking of chucking it especially riding. It's just to easy to get caught now.... the motorist is always the easy target/ cash cow.

This old one again. The usual (correct) advice is to not live in the south east and don't take the piss in red circle speed limits, on busy roads, or on routes that are well known for attracting knobheads. It's worked well for me - I haven't developed a persecution complex despite generally not hanging about and quite often going a long way over the speed limit.

Seems wholly realistic to me. Plenty of chances for swift overtakes within the limits.

He's right though and it's much more of a challenge to overtake safely within the limits than just drive like a knob everywhere

No. It’s not just cameras in ‘ safe’ places, it’s the sheer volume of traffic. Some of these on good, clear trunk roads, are purely revenue generators.

Same here and I live near the M25. Every drive is a smile..

If you don't enjoy at least 80% of your journeys I think you need to take a long hard look at your situation.

There is always a time and a place I reckon. We were on an empty dual carriageway this morning, in the family bus though sadly, and I said to my missus...that if I'd been in the M4 instead...then I'd be absolutely bombing it.

I'm also lucky to have lots of empty B roads on my doorstep too, and I thoroughly enjoy driving my performance cars along those too.
