Driving instructor franchise

Hi everybody.

I'm getting close to retirement and fancied a bit of a career change and wondered about the driving instructor franchise game. Has anyone had experience of it. I know one chap who did it and lasted a couple of months and gave it up... but he never told me what the issues were so I don't know if I would have the same problems.

I'm talking about the sort of scheme where you have to pay for your tuition up front, you pay for a car with dual controls and the vinyl wrap with the company branding. They provide you with customers.
