Just glancing through my copy of the latest Porsche Post which dropped on the mat today, and spotted the picture of the "Rare 964 Flatnose" on p60. What's one of those? A turbo judging by the wing etc, but did it come from the factory like this? Can't make my mind up about the looks but it's certainly unusual.

Could you scan a pic of it in please? Never heard of this before- is it a 930 converted to a 964 (if that's possible) or a 964 with flatnose bits?

It is a factory car. Very rare indeed. The X88 engine was approx. £15K option on standard cars.

Take a look:

Good to see from the site that the Porker boys have taken a leaf out of TVR's books:

"All of these cars appear to have been built using the "whatever is lying around method" so the cars are not all identical (options aside) and that adds to their interest."
