Continental TPMS in Shipping Mode
Discussion
Had a new TPMS Valve (OEM) fitted on one wheel after a puncture on my Jaguar XF X260.
Turns out, the valve was / is still in "Shipping" / Transit mode, meaning it is shut down until a 125Khz Modulated signal is provided.
I have suitable tooling for all but that! - I've tried some cheaper TPMS Activation / Reset tools to no avail, as well as some of the "hack" methods, like dropping the tyre pressure / Reinflating, and have been driving around on it for a fair while - So 125Khz will be the only way forward.
I'd rather not have to buy an absurdly expensive tool to turn on one sensor - Anyone have any suggestions for a cheap tool that can just fire some 125Khz waves at a wheel?
At this point, I'll take schematics for a spark gap transmitter

I would have thought your local "fast fit centre" or main dealer could do this for not very much.
Don't know, just assuming.
Probably - I just hate admitting defeat Don't know, just assuming.

From what I've heard on a few Jag forums, lots of people seem to have trouble with them not quite grasping that the sensor needs to be removed from shipping mode or running into tooling limitations - Might start dropping into a few whenever I pass to see if they can zap it for me.
