Exactly. Buy direct from the land of slavery and concentration camps. "Yeah but I got a nice looking watch for less than £200!"RSTurboPaul said:

If we are ruling out buying anything 'Made in China' on the basis the government are authoritarian control freaks with a penchant for 'removing' anyone or anything in their way if they can get away with it, we probably won't have that much 'stuff'.
I agree. My thinking is that while it is difficult to avoid feeding China's war, slavery and torture machine, we can reduce our buying/needs. Reduce/re-use/recycle. Buy less stuff in general. Shop at charity shops, buy secondhand stuff. Are you talking about these sort of seiko homages?

Or

There's loads to be found - Moddys - Watch Makeup - Elegant Mods - Custom Watch Haven. That's from a google search.
I have no idea how good these are or if the vendors are 'real' - with the proliferation of ads on social media I'm tempted to think that many are scams.

A GMT bezel on a non GMT watch? I don't think that this is a homage but probably a fake Rolex watch case, with an aftermarket Seiko dial that someone cobbled together. I don't have a problem with Homage watches, especially if they're modeling a discontinued model. The Seiko homages really exploded (in my mind) when Seiko decided to discontinue the SKX. Companies like Steeldive started making the same watch with a sapphire crystal for half the price of the replacement that Seiko introduced. They're well built and they have a Seiko movement. As long as they don't have Seiko on the logo, I don't see any issue.
