OK I'll start off with my disclaimer as I am not being racist, this could apply to any person who likes to cook lots of strong curries every day.

Anyway...we have Asian neighbours next door, I do not have a problem with them, although they cook curry every night and it stinks.
I'm sat here now with my window open as it's boiling in my room but the smell of curry coming in is really really strong and putting me off my tea.
Even in the morning when putting washing on the line in the back garden it stinks out there! Going to start seeping into the clothes!
Certainly has stopped me going out and sitting in the garden this summer.

I know there's nothing I can do but it really does make me feel sick, I'm not a big curry fan at the best of times but constantly smelling it really turns my stomach. :hurl:

Gotta be something under the environmental health act. Is it affecting anyone else?

When i'm delivering in Preston I get off at J31 fork left at the roundabout with the pub on then get directions, anywhere between there and the prison is full of asian shops kebab houses and chippys and they all smell of curry and none of them are any good at directions.(probably not local originally.)

Some Chinese people moved in to the flat below us about three months ago, think theres about 6 of them in a two bed flat... Smile and wave but only a couple seem to speak English when we say hello.
The smell of chinese cooking at all hours is a more than little off putting, and they hang all the washing out of the windows.
And they Vacuum clean at 7am on a Sunday morning!

Still, We're moving out this weekend.

Well I have seen a teenage/student aged girl, a couple who I presume to be her parents, an old woman, and a couple of others.

The old bloke's funny! He's got a big grey bears and bright ginger hair!
He was shouting abuse in the street last sunday morning in Urdu or something. Think it would be funny if I came out with my Urdu/Arabic! hehe!

I like curry - but I really can sympathise with you Lois.

Curry can be very strong smelling indeed, and I suspect it would get on my nerves if it were constant.

I think this is going to be a difficult one though Lois, I can't see the Local Authority being any help at all for fear of all the "negative" publicity they would get.

There is no doubt that a household constantly cooking curry is going to produce much more fragrance than the average white british one that frys some bacon, cooks a Sunday Roast and probably has a few takeaways...

wonder if there's any special filters of anything they could put in.

Just thinking...even at curry restaurants, the smell isn't as overpowering and they're making 100's of the things!

What you need to do is rub your thumb down your bum crack a couple of times and then wipe it across your top lip.
Should'nt notice the smell of curry then especially on hot days.

Repeat as necessary

I have the same problem Lois, only it does not emall like any curry I have ever known. I have no idea where these guys are from as they never speak to us, even when we say hello. Whatever they cook though smells so bad that it wakes me up and makes me feel sick.
