New small SUV

Ideas please.

This is to replace my wife's Dacia Duster (which I'll be taking on as an everyday utility car)

She likes the Duster, and may consider the new model but also looking at other options. She'd be happy with something smaller, as mostly just her or maybe one other, but does like an elevated driving position.

SUV
Petrol, hybrid or electric (only 3k miles per annum)
Bright colours not monochrome
Automatic (preferably not CVT)
Smaller than a Duster
Up to £25 k ish new or preregistration (a used car is a hard sell for her)

Any ideas?

The Peugeot 2008 looks great and seems well-rated in reviews. I appreciate used may be a hard sell but perhaps an ex-demo / 1 year old may soften the depreciation.

That is the same size as the Dacia Duster. The op wants something smaller, so Seat Arona or its stablemate VW T Cross is more suited to his requirements.

I think it’s a bit smaller but I’m guessing.

The Ford Puma seems popular. You could get the ST version in Kermit green to avoid the monochrome issue!

Those VAG cars are looking viable.

A 4 yrs ago the Duster was £10.5k a no trainer, now they're £20k + a lot more options open up.
