What would happen in the above scenario?

my daughters had an acrimonius split from her fella,
the car is insured at my home address and her licence is changed to my home address but shes not altered the v5,

she thinks she was flashed so went online a few days later and altered her registered keeper address to ours
(which is ironic as shes about to move out again)

theres no way in hell her ex boyfireiud would forward any post on
so if she was caught how would she know
itll be a speed awareness course as it was 50 in a 60 hopefully, with no previous and no convictions at all

any pointers?
cheers

She won't know. Changing her address with the DVLA after the event is unlikely to help unless the police are particularly tardy sending her a NIP and request for driver's details.

The only thing she can do is to check with the ticket office for the area she believed she was caught to see if there is anything pending against her vehicle.

The likely outcome if there is something in the pipeline and she is not aware of it will be a prosecution for "failing to provide driver's details". This can only be dealt with in court and whilst there is a way to get action reverted to the speeding matter which almost always works, it is aggravation she should avoid where possible. This is because a conviction for that offence carries six points, a hefty fine and an endorsement code which insurers hate.

I don't think she will get anything for 50 in a 60. wink

Contact the local ticket office of whatever force it is. It happens all the time. They'll just need to registration number. Should take minutes or that.

It's a new law just brought in by the Labour Gvt to solve this major issue.
