Council Deferred Payment Scheme

Has anybody else done this ? Going to have to sell my mother's flat as she went into care home the other week.

I know council's will probably have different time scales but wondering how long it took to get confirmation?

Also this '12 week disregard' period - does this really mean that they pay for those first 12 weeks ?
Then they pay the fees until you have sold and you settle up ?
