Hey all....

:wavey:

Not been on the forum for a few weeks due to work, few things at home....but to boring to go on about (Really I have been hiding since losing on the golf day!!!)

But as promised....details of Wedge Scalextric night!!!

So the details.....

We will be racing here... http://uk.geocities.com/pinewoodraceway/index.html

This is my local club I race at....Its Fantastic!!!

It will be a week day evening...starting around 7/ 7.30
(Tues/Wed as they race other nights!!)

The date will be sometime end of Oct into Nov...

Price will be around 9 quid....(nice local bar for after...and you can bring drink along!!)

Location is Bracknell, Berks.....

The only thing is we need a minimum of 12. If I can't get 12 people we can't race.....Max is 24

So what do you need to do...???

Make your self known, you are more than welcome to bring a friend, Wife, Girlfriend , Mistress (We wont tell!!!) let me know by Friday 30th Sept.

If we have enough people I'll book the night, pay the money and you guys can pay on the night....

Then we have a great night with me winning!!!:hehe:

Over to you guys....

The colonel

Do you use their cars as provided? Or can you bring your own + controllers.

I have my slot car from the 60's I used to race - motor rebuilt by me! Very quick. But too far for me to go really.

Is it actually a Scalextric track or is it a custom with Sandtex surface?

Bad timing for me - I'll be on holiday from October 17 to November 1. I'll let Chris know about it though.

What's your advantage? I know youth is one of them. Eyesight's probably better too. Especially as I tried to get the estate out of the garage the other week without opening the doors!!! Car's fine. Garage door bu**ered. Still, glad it wasn't the wedge

My Advantage is I race regulary...so I should win hands down....So We'll take who comes 2nd as first place if you get my meaning...as would be unfair.

Ahhh leaving the garage door closed...not good...I once came home from town on the bus....walked into my drive to discover my car not in the drive...thought it had been stolen...took me 5 minutes of panic to realise I had driven into town and was still in the car park where I left it!!!

According to my maths we now have 8.

Just need 4 more....anybody else interested!!!???

To run the scalextric night we need a minimum of 12. So far we have 8 people lined up and no more takers...so at the moment it looks a no go. If any of the guys who are coming want to bring a few friends along to make up the numbers then let me know so we can get to the magic 12.

Cheers

If you don't mind scalextric amateurs I would be interested, but I could only give a definite yes if I know the exact date.

Gerald,

You are more than welcome...apart from me I don't think no one else has "raced" scalextric cars.

If we get the numbers then it will be 4/5weeks time now...but just want to get enough numbers before I book as I'll pay for the whole lot up front.

It will be during the week I expect.

Paul, as I said, I'm on holiday from mid October till November 1st, so can't make it then. I'm on a business trip to China during the week of November 7th. If it's after November 14th, I can make it.
