I thought these places had to have someone come in and fix/repair any damage between guests?

And..clean..

You couldn't pay me to stay there.

You probably picked up bedbugs too.

Don’t. He’s a fool.

Photos speak for themselves.

Jeez. I've only used Air BnB a few times here and abroad and they've all been excellent.

Well apart from one where the owners controlled the heating laugh

I know this doesn't help but you could probably have stayed in the Premier Inn in Archway or Camden or the Travelodge at Finsbury Park for the same sort of price and got a full English out of it the next morning.

Absolutely grim.

I had two friends come and stay in an AirBnB near me in Reading last week, I went along to take a look out of curiousity as it was in the same road as my first ever house back in the 90s.

What they got was an immaculately presented property that would be happy to grace the pages of Ideal Home magazine, absolutely stunning.

£120 a night for this stpit is completely taking the piss. Are his positive reviews all fake? I rarely use AirBnB so am not familiar with the review process.

I'm not sure of the relevance of those photos, you're not going to get anywhere like that in Holloway biglaugh

Were there no photos when you booked?

I thought at first you'd been kept in cells for rioting!

We had this in Santa Barbara earlier this year, place just felt very tired and dirty. AirBnb refunded us straight away and gave us and extra $50 towards alternative accommodation. We left a fair 2* review detailing the condition of the place but acknowledged that the host had been helpful initially and was responsive to messages. She retaliated by leaving us a 1* review saying that we trashed her house and that other hosts should beware. Despite AirBnB having all the photos & giving us a refund, they wont take the review off our profile.

Cells would have been far nicer.

Oh FFS!

Another month and yet another consumer issue from the man who alleges "I do research and question everything. Works for me!".

I Never understand why people book airbnbs in cities when they are just after somewhere to sleep for 1 or 2 nights.

Its not like you want the location experience or the luxury features. Its clearly a flat in a tower block somewhere.

You could have stopped in almost any hotel for that money which would definitely have been better.

EDIT: Also this:

this is why i use hotels, a premiere inn would have been similar price. after all you only really needed a bed and a shower.
