Everyday watch for the wife £100 - £150

Hi all
Looking to get a new everyday watch for the wife, something which looka quite classy so can wear out to lunch etc but not overly expensive as it's for daily wear
My knowledge of watches is limited, my own daily is a lorus and my weekend watch a sekonda so I'm very much a cheap functional watch kinda guy
Any advice gratefully received

Difficult without knowing what style she prefers and also what size wrists she has.
I bought my wife a fossil watch.
She refused to spend any more and chose something that looks similar to this.

It was 8 years ago, it's had one battery she's worn it every day and only changes the time at clock change.
I've suggested something fancier. She's rolled her eyes at me and brandished the fully functional, still looks new from 10cm away watch at me.

Seiko do some really nice Solar watches around this price.
That's a mens watch at 39mm, so might be a little big.
I've always liked the look of these, there's a few variations too, so with some research there's plenty you can choose from. Personally, I prefer the look of these on leather straps, but I'm sure it would be easy enough to change out this bracelet.

Yes, she has mentioned needing a new watch, which is ace because most years I don't have any idea what to get

In my experience no. For brands like citizen and seiko (both good value for money imo) the bigger chains run sales / deals fairly frequently. Some places, especially for citizen, you’ll find excellent deals up to 50% off etc. that ime can’t be beat. To answer a few questions;

I'd recommend keeping an eye on ebay for lightly used 35mm Tissot PRX's. A significant step up in quality compared to the Seiko/Citizen suggestions above and can be had for around £200 in quartz guise which is an absolute bargain IMHO.
