Reliable wall clock

The lounge is full of advice, usually good.. in that vein I am seeking suggestions for a reliable wall clock.

I would opt for a mains powered one but since there's no adjacent power outlet that is unfeasible.

Ideally one of those which self-adjusts from the radio signal.
Circular and I'm not fussed whether it has roman or arabic numerals.
Quite tempted by what could be referred to as a "school" or "factory" style clock from eBay but most seem to require a mains supply.

After going through numerous unreliable wall clocks and after some considerable googling I eventually settled on a large Seiko clock.
Battery powered with a silent sweep second hand, it chimes too but we turned that off - it took some finding and came from overseas as the full range isn't available in the UK, admittedly you have to set it and change the batteries (3xC) every three years but it doesn't drop or gain a second.

I have a dream of owning one of the big ones you get in pools, but the Mrs isn't keen.

We had a cheap Amazon one that was set by radio but always about 15 mins fast. No idea what the issue was, we just mentally adjusted in the end.

We used to have several Acctim clocks at work after I got sick of employees trying to tell me the clock was 10 minutes fast at 0810hrs... right you are.

They worked very well, the only issue was battery consumption - would need changing every 12 months.

S sometimes threw a wobbler too - and would suddenly be 4-5 hours out. Pull battery and reset and an hour later was back to normal.

Digital ones are probably better for battery life but dont look as nice, IMO.

I've a battery clock in the garage, bought from Tesco but a decent make.
It just fails to keep time, runs about 5 mins slow a fortnight, you really have no idea what time it really is.

Acctims nice clerar face relatively inexpensive
1 Alkaline baatery approx every 10 months

Thank you for the helpful suggestions, the present unreliable clock has been replaced by a supermarket special.

If that fails to keep accurate time I'll give Mondaine a try.

Another shout for Newgate, but the more expensive ones. We have a 'Putney' and it never loses time (they are about £130), but also have another that was £60 and it needs adjusting each month. Their mechanisms are not all equal.
